Sunday 24 July 2016
10am – 4pm
Tutor: Roger Perkins
An all-day workshop focusing on Life Drawing as a means of curiosity, expression and surprise! The day will consist of short and sustained experimental drawings of the model. Using various media the intention is to focus on the possibilities drawing offers the experienced and less experienced student. It is hoped that the class will refresh your approach to drawing the model.
This is a special class as we will be using two models who will work together using the warehouse’s expansive main space to offer a variety of poses throughout the day.
As with the weekly Life Class at OVADA it will suit all those undertaking Life Drawing for the first time and those wishing to take a fresh uninhibited approach to their personal practice. The individual needs of the student are the central focus of the sessions and there is no ‘house style’ or right or wrong way of drawing- it is an individual journey that is at the heart of this session. The only requirement for the day’s course is that you are willing to risk making spectacular failures!
Materials (paper, boards, easels, drawing materials etc) provided – though a 20p donation towards each high-quality sheet used is requested. Do bring your own materials if you prefer.
Cost: £50
